Browser Terms of Use

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-09-14

These terms are the agreement between you and Wasted Penguinz AB (“we”, “Zero Say”) for the use of the Zero Say Browser application (the “Browser”). By installing or using the Browser you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use it. The zerosay.com website and the Zero Say messenger have their own Terms of Use.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under Swedish or EU law that cannot be waived by agreement.

1.Who we are

The Browser is provided by Wasted Penguinz AB, a Swedish limited company, org. nr 559447-4859, 267 75 Ekeby, Sweden. You can reach us at hello@zerosay.com.

2.Who may use the Browser

  • You must be at least 13 years old; if you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
  • You may not use the Browser if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or sanctions.
  • You are responsible for making sure that using Tor, bridges and anonymising software is lawful where you are.

3.Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Browser on devices you own or control. The Browser remains our property or that of our licensors. It is built on Chromium, Electron, Tor and other open-source software, each under its own licence; those licences govern those parts and are listed inside the app. The Tor network is operated by the Tor Project and volunteer relay operators, not by us.

4.No account, nothing sent to us

The Browser has no account and no sign-in. It never sends us anything about you or your browsing. Its only contact with our servers is an update check and, if you accept one, the update download, both made through Tor. How that and everything else is handled is described in the Browser Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

5.What anonymity means here, and what it does not

The Browser routes your traffic through Tor, blocks trackers and hardens the browser against fingerprinting. That hides where you connect from and makes your browser look common. It does not hide what you type into a site, what you log in to, or what a compromised computer can see, and it cannot defeat an adversary able to watch both ends of the Tor network. The Browser Security page states what is protected and where it stops; you rely on the Browser on that basis and not on any stronger claim.

The Direct window deliberately bypasses Tor and shows a site your real address. It is labelled; using it is your choice.

6.Acceptable use

You may not use the Browser to:

  • do anything unlawful, or access, obtain or distribute unlawful material, including child sexual abuse material;
  • attack, overload or abuse websites, the Tor network, bridge operators, the search engines and other services the Browser can reach, or our servers;
  • circumvent the abuse-term filter in onion search, or modify the Browser to remove it and distribute the result under our name;
  • remove or alter our signatures, marks or notices and pass the Browser off as something else.

Onion search shows results from third-party indexes we do not control. We filter what we can and do not vouch for what remains; opening a result is your decision.

7.Third-party services

The Browser fetches filter lists, translation models and search results from independent third parties (among them the Tor Project, EasyList and uBlock Origin maintainers, AdGuard, Mozilla, DuckDuckGo and several onion search engines), always through Tor. They are not our subcontractors; their terms and availability are theirs. If one of them changes or disappears the corresponding feature may stop working until we replace it.

8.Availability, early software and changes

The Browser is early software and is under active development. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop providing it. Updates are offered through the Browser and are signed; you decide whether to install them, but security fixes only reach you if you do.

The Tor network is run by volunteers; its speed and reachability are outside our control.

9.No warranty

The Browser is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we make no warranties, express or implied, about its fitness for any purpose, its ability to keep you anonymous against every adversary, or its uninterrupted operation. Tor, filtering and hardening reduce risk; they do not remove it. Your device, your operating system, the network you are on and the sites you visit are all outside our control.

10.Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profit, or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control, including the conduct of third-party sites, relays and services. Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the Browser is limited to SEK 1,000 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is higher.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or intent, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Swedish or EU consumer law.

11.Ending the agreement

You end it by uninstalling the Browser and deleting its profile folder; there is nothing on our side to close. We may end your licence if you breach these terms. Sections on liability, warranty and governing law survive.

12.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled by the Swedish courts, with Helsingborgs tingsrätt as the court of first instance, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to sue where you live.

If you are a consumer in the EU you may also use the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se) or the European Commission’s online dispute-resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We take part in ARN proceedings.

13.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced inside the Browser at least 30 days before they take effect, and the version and date at the top of this page change accordingly. Continuing to use the Browser after that date means you accept the new terms; if you do not, uninstall it before then.
